Autodesk Revit is a building information modeling software for Windows, currently developed by Autodesk. Allows the user to design with parametric modeling and elements of drawing. BIM is a design paradigm that allows computer-aided-based smart objects and three-dimensional design. In this way, Revit provides full associativity by bi-directional. A change somewhere means a change everywhere, instantly, without user intervention to manually change all views. A BIM model must contain the complete life cycle of construction, from concept to construction. This is possible by the underlying relational database architecture Revit, which its creators call the parametric change engine.

Latest version is Revit Architecture / Structure / MEP 2014, which is available in both 32 and 64 bits.

What is Revit for?

Autodesk Revit is a leading application in the design and architectural modeling revolves around workflows of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Using Revit, architectural designers, engineers and contractors can collaborate on a single shared model. Stellar new skills include designing 2D sketch elements and modeling 3D objects and make changes to a design view (eg, floor plans) and have them automatically replicated across all views (elevations, schedules, etc).

3. Change the information in the title block by selecting any blue text. The number of leaf, sheet name, author, reviewed by, the project number, client and site location are just some of the parameters that can be changed in a title block.
4. Add views to the sheet with the sheet view desired opening. Search the drawing in the Project Explorer, click and drag the view on the sheet. Revit allows you to place multiple views on a single sheet, but Revit does not allow you to put a view over a leaf. If you want a view on multiple sheets , you must duplicate the view.
5. Leaf Trace selecting “Revit” option or the “Start” button in the upper left corner of your screen and select the “Print” option. Change the settings in the Print dialog box of the printer or plotter specific. The scale of the drawing must be “100 %” or “None” to ensure that the leaves are drawn to scale.
