Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is a devotional TV serial based on life of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. He lived in a village called Shirdi near Bombay in Maharashtra state during 1852 to 1918. The serial is being telecasted on Udaya TV at 9 to 9.30 on every Sunday. This serial is based on the real story as depicted and told by many. Mainly the miracle done by Sai baba created good faith, welfare of the people living around him is the highlight of the story. Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is termed as a God man because of his miracles and secular nature. He never looked at the religion and his chanting mantra was Sabka Malik Ek Hai' (that means owner for all of us is only one- God). Ambarish Sarangi plays the main role as Baba. Other crew members are Ganesh Roa, Shivakumar Aradhya, Misse Anjanappa, Srinivas. Female characters are Kalyani Pradeep andAnusha Rao. This serial is directed by T N Nagesh, Purushanath. Even there are some stories are framed in this serial as described by the team members. While shooting of this serial, at the rain sequence the producer was thinking of arranging artificial rain, but suddenly rain started pouring in and shooting was completed without any interruption particularly no investment for artificial rain. The team members of this TV serial think that this miracle happened because of Baba. Similarly there are many stories. So by grace of Sai Baba this serial has completed 100 episodes and still it is being aired because of the huge viewer base .There are more believers of god man Baba across the world which is the strength and energy for the producing house to continue the Serial.

Sai Baba is a Tamil television series. The show is formatted as a life narrative of Shirdi Sai Baba. The narration in this television show is done by none other than Dr. Ramanand Sagar. He is well known for his story telling ability. The subtitle to this television show is called “Sabka Maalik Ek,” which is a popular saying of Sai Baba. Through the story of this television show, Dr. Ramanand Sagar attempted to recreate the life of the universally worshiped saint, Sai Baba. He does it with immense devotion and zeal. What adds to it, is that this marvelous piece of work has been marked with extensive research done on the volumes of true eyewitness accounts of Sai Baba’s life story. Sai Baba’s countless devotees all over the world and India, look up to him as a saint, a guru, a savior, and an incarnation of that allegedly supreme power which comes on this earth in the human figure at the dire hours of the need for mankind’s redemption from mortal sins.

The popular legends endlessly and invariably revolve around various incidents and events, which occurred at the mercy of Sai Baba’s divine power, witnessed by alleged men and women who shared those moments and experiences. According to popular belief, Sai Baba took birth somewhere between 1839 AD and 1842 AD. He was born at Pathni in Mathwada under the Nizam’s dominion. He came to be known as the boy who had left the poor Brahmin’s abode as a child when he appeared under a neem tree for the first time in Shirdi.

The filming of this show took place in Baroda. The sets were diligently made to appear exactly as Shirdi at Sagar Film City. It took almost four years of extensive research, collective enthusiasm, and diligent work contributed by the artisans to bring together the sets of this show to look exactly like Shirdi. The research was very tough to conduct as Sai Baba didn’t leave any form of writing or manuscript behind. His legacy was the contribution to bring about an awakening in the society. The numerous miracles that he performed, the gift of love that he shared with his followers, and the diseases he cured, were all intricate parts of the awakening he offered to bring about in the society. Through this television show, Dr. Ramanand Sagar, the renowned story teller, intended to give away Sai Baba’s spiritual and social wisdom and messages, along with a blend of cinematic entertainment.
