The cylinder lockup is tight with no play on one chamber and very little side-to-side play on the other four. We have not fired this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards. Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None Our Assessment: This model is the alloy frame version of the J Frame Model 36. Introduced in 1951, this is one of the first quality revolvers to take advantage of the advances in materials of the mid 20th century. Extremely lightweight at 13.5 oz. unloaded, this revolver is very comfortable to carry. Despite its light weight, it still benefits from the quality crafstmanship of Smith & Wesson. While similar revolvers are available in current production, they won't have the old-school character of this 70s vintage Smith. Please see our photos and good luck!
